Soroptimist of Kansas City Northland is now accepting applications for our Live Your Dream Award. Eligible applicants can submit their application between August 1 – November 15.
For the 2022-2023 year, Soroptimist of Kansas City Northland is offering two awards totaling $4,500. Once you are chosen, there is the potential to receive additional money from Region & Federation level to help offset tuition costs, purchase books, get transportation, or find reliable childcare so you can worry less about how to pay your bills and focus on reaching your dreams.
The Live Your Dream program is Soroptimist International of the America’s major award project. The awards are used to improve the lives of women by giving them the resources they need to improve their education, skills, and employment prospects. Each year, Soroptimist clubs in 19 countries and territories assist women in overcoming personal difficulties and improving their lives through education and skills training. The women may use the cash award to offset any costs associated with their efforts to attain higher education, including books, childcare and transportation. Club recipients become eligible for additional cash awards at other levels of the organization, including three $10,000 finalist awards.
